Hi. I made a user defined fan setting via Afterburner to turn the fan speed up to 60% when my card reaches 70c. My question is, is it safe or fine? Should I just leave the fan at auto? By how much does it shortens the lifespan of the card? When I play bf4 ultra settings I get around 81-82c on auto and 74c on 60% fan speed. Thanks! ( Not an english native so please forgive me if there's something wrong with the grammar) :)

I posted this question last night but only few have answered. I need some answers or an expert opinion about it :3

I own a EVGA GTX 770 , and I leave mine on auto, even when overclocking . Auto is good because its programed to give the fan speed what it needs accordingly. Manual fan speed control is helpful for extreme overclocking when you want to push a card as far as it goes, and keep the level of fan noise at a desirable level. This card runs BF4 at over 100 frames and I hardly ever see it go below 80. I do overclock it on some maps to keep the frames around 100. other than that I get the same frames as you in general .
