I was planning on picking up the Z97( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130779) tomorrow as part of the Microcenter combo with the G3258 for $99(plus tax), and Newegg just opened a sale with the same CPU and the B85MG (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138395).

I've seen that the Z97 allows for a good enough overclock, but I'm not sure about the B85MG. I found an old thread on this forum that said it's iffy, but not much more.

Also, the Biomass has 16GB ram max, and no HDMI port (as well as being microATX). Are there any other differences I'm missing?

The big question: is it worth $25 to pickup the Z97 instead of the B85?

If you want to overclock,I would prefer MSI Z97 PC Mate.More power phase and heatsink than B85MG.More important thing is Z97 series is main for overclocking you should pick.
