In the build above I am using a NZXT H440, which is considered a quiet PC case and thus less airflow, as you can see in the partlist I will only be buying 1 GTX 970, however I plan to upgrade in a few months. When I upgrade the PC I will be adding a second GTX 970, a liquid CPU cooler(probably a 240mm model), some upgraded fans, and an SSD.

I will be overclocking my graphics cards, I am unsure whether I will need to overclock my CPU, I am worried that the H440 might fall short when cooling these components.

P.S. I know the 1000w PSU is overkill, by far, but I decided to spend the extra 25 bucks mainly so I can have black and red braided cords, as I am going for a ROG themed build,YAY 4 COLOURZ!! The second reason is that If i were to make a really high performance system some time in the future I wouldn't have to bother with shopping for a new PSU.

Yes it will be cool. However I have some recommendations to make this build into a stronger one.

-You do not need an i7 for gaming. Then i5 will do just fine.
-An Asus Maximus Hero VII will be much better. I chose this because you wanted a ROG theme. However the Hero has features that people barely use, same with the Formula. So just for the looks.

-2400Mhz is overkill for gaming. 1866MHz will do.

-Where's the SSD?

-Why do have a cheap gaming keyboard and mouse? Try mechanical keyboards. And a SteelSeries mouse, or Logitech. I don't want to sound rude.

The ASUS Formula's aesthetics alone are worth the extra 30 bucks to me, on top of that it has some really good audio components. I am just in love with this board and cannot seem to divert myself to a different board even if it is better.

-I am aware I do not need the i7, it is there for 3 reason
1. To keep me from becoming a mass murderer: I wil constantly nag myself "WHY DIDN'T YOU BUY THE i7' when something isnt completed in .000001 seconds, which yes I know and i7 wont help
2.I plan on doing live streaming, and I've heard a good processor can help you in that situation
3. I do some light 3D modeling and am trying to learn photoshop.

-The the 2400MHz comes in combo with the i7 and costs ends up costing the same as an i7 and 16gb of 1866mhz.

-I will upgrade to an SSD later on, I am trying to get the core components. I can deal with slow boot ups and file transfer for 6-8 months

-I definitly plan on getting good peripherals, but as said above I am just trying to get the core components that will make my computer 100% functional. And to me you didn't sound rude at all, I didn't think about it until you mentioned it.

Also If I am short about $100 when building this, I will get the i5, but I figure if I can afford it and it gives me a better peace of mind then why not.

its a nice build and yeah the 440 will handle it. especially when you start adding water cooling.
i would have went for a more efficent psu rather than just high power output and you can always buy separate cables.(check with the manufacturer as not all are standard fittings.)

@ Hexit I looked up the separate cables, $80 bucks for a full set, and I think 80 Plus gold is good enough, also the cheapest platinum psu they had starts at the same wattage anyways. But yeah thanks for the un
