Install Windows 8.1 or More RAM for Selling a PC?

Hi. I built a gaming rig using new mid-ranged priced hardware. I am planning on selling it on eBay where I have sold many other electronic items, including other computers, in the past.

It currently has 8GB (2 X 4GB) of G.Skill Ripjaws 1866Mhz RAM. And no OS. I am wondering which choice would make the PC more lucrative: spending between $85 and $120 buying and installing a copy of Windows 8.1, or another 8GB kit of Ripjaws, to have 16GB of RAM?

I don't want to put any more money into it than the $120 for the copy of Windows 8.1, so it's got to be one or the other.

Thanks

Personally I would go and upgrade the ram as ram is something that a non technical person would have trouble upgrading unlike windows 8, plus most gamers still prefer windows 7 instead of 8.

Ok thanks for your input. Having, or not having, an OS is where I am seeing the most difference in trend. I have seen some sellers putting Ubuntu on in place of no OS at all. Perhaps the angle on this is to ship it to the buyer so he can fire it up out of the box to see how it runs. And decide to wipe, or keep, Ubuntu.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks.

I have used Ubuntu before but sadly it is unable to run many games including call of duty, but the plus side of Ubuntu is that it is fast at booting and is light weight.
