No Audio from Left Speaker

I installed a new motherboard recently (Asus Z77-A) and did a complete OS reinstall of Windows 7. Got all my drivers off of the Asus website, and everything is working fine besides a speaker problem.

The speakers were working perfectly fine before, until recently when I went into the Asus Realtek Audio Manager and slid the volume slider a little. My left speaker randomly stopped outputting sound at a correct volume. It's giving out SOME audio, but barely any. It's a static noise and extremely faint sound coming from it. Note I only have this problem in the rear speaker, it works fine on the front audio ports.

Did my motherboard's green audio jack just randomly give out? And if so, I'll be purchasing a sound card.

Solution
Test with a LinuxLiveCD/-stick, if the problem persists:

your jack of the Mainboard might be defective (e.g. cold solder joint) or
some dirt is in it or
the plug has to be plugged in deeper or
if you used the same audio cable/adapter for testing, try another one.

All other speakers have the same problem in the rear green port
Realtek HD Audio Codec install did not fix it
Slider is in the middle
Default settings didn't fix it
