I7-4790K are these temps okay?

Hello!

My i7-4790k is around 68 C and spikes to 72 C when playing Shadow of Mordor at ultra settings (cpu has turbo to 4.4 GHz) I applied arctic thermal paste and use a cooler master hyper TX3 evo as cpu cooler. Should I be worried about these temps? If so, I might have to change the voltage my cpu is using but how do I do that? Thanks for answering!

Temps are fine if they are under 80C. You shouldn't need to worry about it too much. You don't need to change the voltage unless you're overclocking your cpu

Thanks for the fast reply! Will the lifespan of the processor be decent(4-5 years) when staying below 80C?

Should still be useful for the upcoming years. Until there is a major cpu development, you shouldn't need to upgrade your cpu.

So as long as it will stay below 80C I should be able to use this cpu for the next 4-5 years? I dont want to end up with a burned chip in 2 years, that's why

Intel cpu could probably last 10 years or more.

Yes. Ideally you want your cpu temps to stay under 80C. It more of a guideline.The CPU has its own protocols to prevent it melting itself.
