I've asked on a lot of sites and can't seem to find the issue, Google points me to similar threads here, but not the exact one, so I thought I'd put this out here. The issue I'm having is that when I put the graphics card under any kind of load (loading absolutely any game) the performance turns terrible, much worse than my previous card, a 750 Ti. I'm talking 20fps on Mass Effect, 15fps on FIFA 15, barely 10fps on Skyrim. I currently can't play anything, as it's unbearably bad. So far I've:
I also ran a benchmark using Unigine, and on the Extreme HD preset, got an average of 3.1fps. I'm out of ideas. Is it down to just having a faulty GPU that needs replacing? Thanks.
- updated the drivers and removed the old drivers
- updated the bios
- checked other components to see if they're the issue
- tested another graphics card and it runs fine
- double checked to ensure my PSU (Cooler Master G750M) is good enough to run it
- made sure my CPU (i7-4790k @ 4.00GHz) isn't bottlenecking it
