Correct graphics card for my PC

I have Intel Pentium P4 2.4 GHz, Intel D865GBF mother board, 1.5 GB Ram, Direct X 11, AND DUE TO cessation of Win XP support and to shift towards Win XP, I need to upgrade my display I do not know Graphics card or Video card is to be upgraded and which one is the best. Kindly advise.

I wouldnt invest a single cent in that PC. Save your ducats and build a new system.

Given the specs on your system. You have AGP and PCI connections along with DDR memory. You can not connect a new GPU to your system due to that. It is time to let that system go. The cheapest of the new systems are faster than yours even low end cell phones are faster than your system unfortunately. It is a good time to upgrade to a new system. A new system will be overall faster at everything.
