Is there a common issue when it comes to two PC's on the same game that causes?

Not generally, it's usually something to do with the network, a firewall / antivirus or security center. Possibly a setting in the router, a lot of variables.

If you mean lag caused due to ping spikes, it's a VERY common issue. I stopped playing it as much as I used to because of this.

It could also depend on the speed of your internet connection or your hardware.
