What is Better: An AMD FX-6300 with a gtx 970 or an intel 4690k with a amd radeon 280.

My question is basically the title. I will be using my computer for mainly gaming. Which one would be better for gaming and which one is more future proof :). I will be overclocking.

Well the fx 6300 will bottleneck the 970 in cpu intensive games and the R9280 may limit graphics settings or fps in some gpu intensive games. As a compromise, get a mid end I5 (non k) and better gpu.

Say a I5_4460 for example. If you haven't already got the mobo, at of you were budgeting for z87 (due to the k cpu) you could also downgrade the mobo and save more money
