First PC build, will this system work?

I'm primarily building this as a mid-level workstation, but I will be doing some gaming as well. I do a lot of 3D modeling with Maya and Photoshop. I know the quadro cards are better for the workstation, but they are out of my budget at this point. Do I have any components that will conflict with each other or prevent them operating at full capacity? Any advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

No, that is not such a big deal as far as I know. Rather a stronger GPU with wider memory bus, more shader units etc. would be more helpful in 3D modeling and rendering.

Thanks for the response. I was thinking I should stick with an Nvidia GPU to take advantage of the CUDA. Is that not a big deal?
