Well, i can have two options, from the new i5 4460 at 205$ and the i5 4670k (Second hand) for 224$... is it worth it paying 20$ more for this processor? the first is new and the second one is second hand..

I don't like buying processors secondhand, and $20 is enough of a difference that I wouldn't care about the marginal performance increase of the 4670k. Go with the 4460 unless you want to overclock and really trust the seller of the 4670k.

i5 4460

As veiwtyjoe said...second hand electronics are not that good
+there is very little perf. difference

Any way if you are not going to Overclock dont get the k version
the 4660 itself is a decent processor and shouldnot cause any problems even with a powerful gpu while gaming (no bottleneck)

hope it helps!!

PS- here is a comparison

i5-4670K 2nd hand for $224 is NOT a good price. You can get a brand new i5-4690K for just $239.

Definitely go for the i5-4690K and match it with the Gigabyte Z97X-SLI motherboard and a decent cooler like the Hyper 212 Evo and you're good to go for a 4.5+Ghz overclock that will decimate any game out there.

yes .
if you have any doubts on the performance difference look at this
http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-4670K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-4460

if you are using it for gaming ,you wont feel a difference

if you plan on overclocking(which reduces life) then go for a k series ,but not a second hand one

hope this helps!!
if you have obtained an answer pick a solution!!

Sourcing cpuboss is one of the worst things you can do. Cpuboss is merely an auto-generating manufacturer's specfications database. Doesn't tell anything about the CPU's performance in real-life. You have to look at real-life benchmarks for the games you play and the applications you use.

thanks...but i just use it to compare the numbers(too lazy to go to each processor page) , i usually search for the performance of the gpu or cpu on high req games like crysis 3 or something ,mostly benchmarks from youtube / smoe other trusted site

if you know any good sites which do bench marks as well as numbers please tell!!(ps - gpuboss has real life benchmarks)

Actually I've found CPU Boss to be pretty accurate for the most part and they actually do use benchmark data for almost all the processors on the site.

But they're synthetic benchmarks and don't pertain to real-life performance
