Is it the heat or voltage ?

Because i got my i5 4670k @ 4.6ghz with 1.370v but while gaming the temperatures are super fine. Does not exceed 68 degrees.

Because im using the balanced power plan and c-states on . The speed of my cpu only goes to 4600mhz when needed.

Is this safe ?

Cooler is the corsair h100i.

But i heard the maximum safe voltage for a haswell cpu is 1.3v.
That's why im worried.

Perhaps the OP is asking because he is unsure about what he is doing? would you care to enlighten us as to what he should be doing with a voltage that is 0.07V over the recommended save voltage?

Im just trying to get the best out of my CPU. Am i safe ?

As i said in my first post, both heat and voltage kill, separately, so no you are not safe.

I know you are eager to show off your power and masculinity on the forums but just because you are a moderator doesn't give you the right to make snide comments on a whim. At the degrees he is getting he is just fine. He says he isnt getting more than 60 C in a demanding game, that's just fine.

I do agree that you dont need that much of an overclock and, as said, a 4.0 - 4.2Ghz would get you enough of an improvement in games, you dont need 4.6 and risk it. It's safe imo as long as you dont stay constantly in the 80-90 degrees range but if you wanna be 100% sure that nothing will happen dialing it down would be preferred. That's why I said "minimal risk" and didnt say NO RISK.
