Hey guys :D

These are the drivers we usually install after windows installation .

-Intel Chipset Drivers
-Intel Management Engine Interface
-Intel Rapid Storage Technology
-Intel USB 3.0

I am using Windows 8.1 and i have few questions about how necessary this drivers are and should we always install them ? please don't explain the theory of what this drivers do . just tell me how they can affect my gaming performance .

1.I didn't install "Intel USB 3.0" Driver . but all of my USB 3.0 Ports are working just fine . So do i need this one ?

2."Intel Management Engine Interface: . isn't this some sort of remote management tool ? i mean its more for IT People to remotely help you out or for people to remotely control their system . so does and average gamer need this ? I get yellow mark on PCI Simple Communications Controller when i ignore this driver .

3."Intel Rapid Storage Technology" , i know that this might speed up HDD . But it will never affect my gaming FPS right ? it might just make the loading and transfer a little faster right ?

4.Intel Chipset . What about this one ? i get no yellow exclamation mark if i ignore this driver . does it make my cpu work any faster ? my i5 3470 works at 3.2 Ghz and successfully Clocks up to its turbo limit ( 3.6 Ghz ) .

I don't use any of this drivers and my system works just fine . but i don't know if they can affect my gaming performance or not . Thanks :)

Solution
No. for gaming, you want the latest graphics drivers for your graphics card.
Past that, chipset drivers and whatever are irrelevant.

:) thanks for info . but i need to know more .

it will work fine because it has the drivers . the problem is : will it work any faster if i provide latest chipset drivers ? ( Gaming performance wise )
