I just put together my first pc build a few hours ago. The computer has been running for a few hours and ive been downloading and installing all my necessary software and drivers. After I was done I went to my bios to check my cpu temp. It was at 42 degrees Celsius is this good or bad? My cpu is an i5-4690k at stock oh and it stays a little warm in my room.

If you look at the specs on the intel website you will see the max recommended temp for that cpu , I think its about 80c . but you should never have to go above 60 for most operations. other factors are room temp, fan speed, and quality of your cpu cooler. Also a case that is well ventilated with good cable management
