I'm looking to build a gaming pc, the next month, around $1500ish dollars (only from the components listed below), i'll mostly be playing, but i plan to do some modeling and rendering plus the normal stfuff like browsing, etc. I'd prefer an Intel CPU, and asus motherboard since it's the easiest to obtain round here, but i'll take any advice, and try to find the pieces if you recommend something else. No need of a SO, i can get it from school. I have a toaster and have save some money to get a good PC, and i really want to build one, but since im new i to this, i prefer to not overclock.

What i need:

CPU:
CPU Cooler:
Motherboard:
Memory
Video Card:
Power Supply:
Optical Drive:

So thanks in advance for any advice you give me, i'll take all suggestions.

Solution
This, will do everything you want. Plus, IF you want, you can overclock it later when you feel more comfortable with it. In the meantime, it's a smashing good system as is.:

Get intel core i7 last model
get gigabyte motherboard its the best at gaming
get 16 gb ddr3 hyper x savage 2400mhz ram
get nvidia gtx 980 or amd r9 290x
get a western digital hard disk

Or you can go a little cheaper with an i5, which will still do pretty much every you want that the i7 can do, it's just not quite as capable as the i7 and has a 500mhz slower stock clock speed. As far as gaming goes, it performs as good as the i7.

ya but motherboard asus is bad he needs to update bios with cd or usb everybody knows that, better get GIGABYTE motherboard it can update bios on internet without having usb,cd iknow i have gigabyte h61m -s1 and i can update my bios with internet

No offense, but maybe you should stop posting here as NOTHING you ever say makes any sense or is even remotely close to the truth. You are so confused I'm not even entirely sure I could explain the reality of how wrong you are in a manner that would allow you to understand it.

ASUS is not bad, they are among the best consumer motherboards you can buy. You do NOT need to, nor can you, update the BIOS with a CD. That board has ASUS Flashback. If you needed to update the BIOS, which you don't in this case, you can do it without even having a supported CPU installed. And I don't know what world you live in that you think Gigabyte has better boards than ASUS. Certainly Gigabyte makes very good performing quality products, but saying they are better than ASUS is a matter of opinion, not fact.

thank you, i'll look for the build i have a question though, can i change the dvd for a blu-ray?

Of course. You can change anything you want. I'll help you any way I can. My main intention is just to make sure the build represents the best value for the money and that you don't end up wasting your money on anything that's junk or won't be suitable.

Same build, with BLU Ray.

Soo.. What you're saying is.. your friend has a Gtx 980 AND a 290x in the same system? (<-- That's not how it works) If the OP wants a PC, which I highly recommend, then let him have a PC.

Also, ASUS MOTHERBOARDS ARE HIGH QUALITY, THEY ARE QUITE NICE... And you "work with microsoft"? ........ Also, I am really confused by some of your statements..

A overclocked Gtx 970 can preform similarly with a Gtx 980 at stock.. so it's not worth the price difference unless you have lots of money to spend.

Not to be rude, but judging by both yours and Darkbreeze's responses.. I'd definitely go with Darkbreeze's opinion.
