Any suggestions? This is the first time for me to build my own desktop. So I really need help from you guys.

A very good list.

What is the motherboard?
I suggest any Z97 based motherboard.
And... since the price of a 4690K is not too different from a 4690, I suggest the "K" to preserve your option to overclock.
Add a $30 cm hyper212 or similar cooler. If nothing else, it will be quieter.

I would get the 4690K version of he processor just in case you want to OC some time, Where i live its only $2 more... And if possible get a better power supply because 550W may have some issues at times with a 970, Try to go for a 650-750W PSU.

Sorry about that . My motherboard is ASUS A88X-PRO FM2+ / FM2 AMD A88X (Bolton D4) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard. Thank you for the suggestions, I will go for the 4690k. I do add the CPU cooler-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO .

Thx for your suggestions. I will go for the 4690k. For the PSU, I have been seen people saying that 550w is fine for a single 970. Do I need to upgrade to a 650w PSU?
