Hi everyone. I need some help.
I'm building a computer. I will be using it mostly for game/running solid works /Autocad as well as torrenting/streaming

I want to have the ability to run a program in one room and play a game in another. (Each room having its own independent mouse/keyboard/monitor/sound)

is this possible with only one tower? Can/do I need to make this computer act as a server and access it from separate computers? And if so, do the sub computers need to be as powerful?

I want it so that my monitor has the option to see what the other monitor is up to but also be completely independent (watch the same movie in different rooms etc..)

Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated
thanks

Solution

If you are going to do that just run a usb extender as well. You can then have a wireless mouse/keyboard receiver in each room so you don't have to worry about signal.

In regards to the monitors/tvs, I have an endless supply of him I cable. I was planning on running the cable through the walls to each display. The hope is that the keyboard/mouse will have a strong enough signal to go through the walls... assuming I can run more than one keyboard and mouse off one tower
