NVidia GeForce gt620
Intel Quad core i5 3330
windows 8.1 pro
4gb ram with 2.7Ghz
ands was on the 334.60 graphics driver
the thing suddenly started to display "graphics driver stopped responding and has recovered successfully" and something about kernel and Hotspot Process whenever I opened a game or YouTube (surprisingly ,I was able to play Sanandreas but not nfs rivals, nfs mw2012,sleeping dogs,fc4) .I think it started happening after I changed PhysX settings to the processer on the Nvidia control panel but still happened after I changed it back to the GPU. Then I did something with the registry as the windows support said but never worked. After that I installed graphics driver from the utility disc which came with the pc. And now the thing crashes on login screen but starts in safe mode. What should I do now.

hard to say , messing with the registry with out backing it up first is not a good thing . if you got windows cd, I would boot up, go into safe mode as it dose. Then go to the start menu and right click on "run" select run as admin, in the box type sfc /scannow . let it do its thing. it may ask you to put in the windows cd. that should repair the registry.

Do not use the graphics driver on the cd , download the latest drivers fro here http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
look up your card and get that driver installed

Should be ok after that . it starts in safe mode to prevent damage because there was a driver conflict
