Hey everyone, the last few days i've been working on a build for my future computer. After a lot of research, i've settled on the list below :

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kB3X3C
+ Logitech Z600
+ Sony Gold Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0

However, i've been thinking, in my quest for the best quality, did i chose some unnecessarily good parts ? I plan on using it mainly for gaming, drawing and streaming but i don't think i'll overclock with it.

Thanks for your understanding and your answers ^^ it will be a great help !

got a xeon in for the hyper threading which may help with the streaming. It has no igp and no overclocking so know that.
Still the option for sli with the motherboard and psu.
Just compare the rest for yourself.
The ssd could be cheaper also,

For that money you should be 100% ABLE to get an 5820K processor and a XFX/Seasonic PSU.
EDIT : Why are you going with an K processor and a Z motherboard when you are not going to overclock? Save yourself some money and get the XXXX without K and a hXX motherboard when you arent going to do any overclocking. Also i think that you guys are spending way too much on those keyboards and mouses. I wound never pay more than 40 bucks for keyboard and more than 30 for a mouse...

You are overpaying on almost everything :
1st : CPU ( you wont overclock then just go with normal XXXX not with a XXXXK
2nd : CPU cooler ( its not that good for the price. do you just want the water cooling because your pc should look cool? if not then just get a 212 hyper.)
3rd: MOBA ( not going to overclock, not that good for the price. just changed it )
4th : SSD ( no need. SSD for windows and apps, HDD for games)
5th : CASE ( full tower? no need. also ughhlyyy...)
6th : PSU ( for that money you can get a psu from the most stable manufacters right now.
7th : Windows ( wait for the Windows 10 to be released and buy a copy. until then you can buy a cheap license on ebay for like 40 bucks and download an ISO and burn it to a disk, install it and then just activate it with the cheap license you bought on ebay)
8th : Monitor ( 500 BUCKS???? )
9th : Keyboard and mouse.. Buy yourself a normal keyboard and mouse and go to a restourant with your friends with the saved money.

it is good

but you could have gone for the 1866hz or 1600mhz ram .You wont see any difference in gaming with 2133

if you use 3d programs then you are going to need higher ram

Also go for the Z97 mobo preferably form Asus(or H if no OC)

and if you dont OC, get the normal 4690 and get a cheaper air cooler/stock one

hope it helps!!

Thanks a lot everyone for all your excellent answers ! With your help, i've been able to finish my new build :
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/xpJDhM

Now i'm just hesitating between two cases : NZXT H440 and Fractal Design R4
And thinking over my mouse/keyboard/screen, do you think it's necessary to play in the best conditions ? ^^

The nzxt doesn't have a 5.25 mount so the dvd player wouldn't fit in there and should you install windows via a bootable usb stick. For the rest it's mostly about taste imo.

Depends on who you're talking to,i don't care much about very expensive mice or keyboards, but i do like a good ips screen for the good colors while others prefer a fast tnt screen.

You could start with this for a mouse/keyboard combo,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-keyboard-sgb3010kkmf1us
just to see how it works out. Also to be found with green or red leds.
Another more expensive combo,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-keyboard-sgb3020kkmf1us
the mouse will be better with this one.
Look for yourself too,
http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/keyboard/#sort=a8&d=5
http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/mouse/#sort=a7&t=2,1&k=1&m=50,11,18,108,255,162,231,354,230,56
read a review when you're interested in what you see.

For both options for a screen,
http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/compare/asus-monitor-vx238h%2Cdell-monitor-p2314h/
not talking about 120/144hrz screens.

You could start a new topic about peripherals where people will react who are more into it than i am.

Thanks for your precise answers, for the case, i'll go for the NZXT cause i don't need the optical drive.
For the rest, i think i'll do a Cooler Storm Bundle + Asus VX238H but i'll still launch a topic because it will always be useful for others and it could always change my mind.

You're welcome and good luck with that other thread.:D

Still about this, the 4690 will save money, but the differenc in speed is only 100mhz so for just that is the 4690 not the better choice.
It does come with an igp so that could be seen as a bonus.
