Specs:
-Windows 7 x64 Home
-AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.2GHz
-8GB Gskill ripjaws memory
-Nvidia Geforce GTX 770 Classified
-OCZ ZX 1000W 80+ gold certified
-64GB SSD
-1TB Hard drive

This problem only seems to occur when playing games. My system is not overheating, I'm looking at 60°C with load on my Graphics card and 30°-42°C With load on my processor. Neither my Graphics card or CPU are overclocked. What happens is at random times (I've had it crash on me after 3-4 Hours of heavy play and just today I had it crash after <1 Hour of play while yesterday I played WoW ALL DAY without it crashing. When it does crash I get a black screen, sometimes with white lines scattered across the screen for a second and then completely black screen. Also in my headphones i get static noises and the computer does not shut off.

Things I've tested:
8+ Hour Memtest with 0 errors
8+ Hour CPU stress test with 0 errors
Checked all cable connections

My best guess is that it's either the Graphics card that i've had for less than a year having problems or the Power supply that i've had for 2-3 years no longer providing consistent voltage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated with solving this issue!

Thanks.
Mike B.

I don't feel this issue warrants messing with timers or voltages considering I don't know what the problem is yet. Just crashed after 5+ days no crash with heavy use.

I've been thinking about purchasing a new processor over the past month or two, how do i tell if it will run optimally with my memory. also is it necessary to watercool a 8core 4+ghz processor or will a good aftermarket heat sink do the trick.

Interesting, just had another crash. This time the fans on the GPU went full throttle. the same way my 580 did when i first got it and was DOA, had to RMA it. Don't think i posted this earlier but the pc doesnt shut off. it loses video and starts getting static wierd noises to headset.

Edit: gonna be really annoyed if i have a 3rd GPU fron EVGA die on me
