memory upgrade on an acer aspire 5739g 744g50mn

I am running a core 2 duo intel p7450 processor on a windows 64 bit laptop with 4 gb ddr3 1066 mhz memory (2 slots of 2 gb each on acer aspire 5739g model).Is it worth upgrading up to 8 gb without any problems of windows not recognising the extra memory?Which memory would anyone suggest?

Windows 32 bit will not work with any memory above 4gb, this includes system memory so typically you see about 3.5gb out of 4.
You will need a 64bit version of windows to use 8gb. Since you are probably on an OEM version of Windows, I'm not sure if the your key will work on a 64bit OEM version. It definitely will not work on a non-oem version.

In rereading your original post, you say that you have 64 bit OS already (i messed that part) so yeah, go ahead if that is correct.
