I recently put together a new pc build. I keep trying to install the AMD CCC drivers, but every time the install begins I get a beep from my speakers and the screen goes black. The computer itself is still running however. I'm using Windows 8.1, any ideas? This is a big headache.
MOBO: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
GPU: MSI AMD Radeon R9 270X Gaming 2GB GDDR5 2DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card
CPU: AMD FX8350 8Core
PSU: Corsair 600w
RAM: 1x8gb

Rebooting does nothing. Shows the splash page for MOBO, then nothing. I've installed Windows a couple of times already.

I'm plugging into the GPU with an HDMI cable.

No, but only because board doesn't have an HDMI. I can try with a VGA and see if that works.

Connected DVI cable to GPU, booted up the PC and then the Windows logo showed up. Then it went blank and stayed like that.

Worked with VGA on MOBO. Guessing it's the GPU, returning tomorrow. Thanks!
