Hi, so after successfully building my first pc yesterday. My dad asked me if it was cheaper to build one or just buy one prebuilt (for home office ) So far I've come up with this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/QYfgqs
Anyways this pc will just be used by my parents to surf the web, look at emails, watch youtube videos type documents etc. No gaming will be done on this. Anyways was wondering if possible to build one that's under $300 including monitor and OS (or $350). Need 1tb HDD. Other than that no other requirements as long as the PC isn't super slow. If it turns out that it's cheaper to buys prebuilt ( that comes with monitor and OS ) please tell me. We won't buying it soon ( actually I'll have to pay for it. Currently we're using the one I built yesterday but he said if I can build one/buy one for him that meets his need then I can move the PC I built yesterday to my room and keep it instead of sharing :) ) Just seeing how much it would cost to build/buy so I can plan ahead. Anyways thanks. I have no experience with home office builds as I devoted my research time into gaming builds so that's why I'm asking for your help.

Looks good to me, you could also maybe get a10-5800k for a little more pep or a8 7600. I found this link too http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2125915/300-dollar-gaming-build.html

Sure you could buy a crap pre built pc from the store, but you'll never be able to uprade anything other than the storage in them. My old Dell I could only buy Dell parts, Dell ram, etc from them.
