This is my first posting since i joined a few weeks ago. At long last i am upgrading my ancient computer. These are the current parts in the build list. The two Antec items were bought when they first hit the market many years ago.
- AMD FX-6300 Black Edition 3.5 GHz Six Core (FD6300WMHKBOX) Processor
- MSI R7770-PMD1GD5 RADEON HD 7770 GHz 1 GB 128-bit GDDR5 Graphics Card
- Antec NEO HE550w PSU
- Antec 180 Silent Case
- (perhaps) 2x4GB Kingston HyperX FURY 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMMs
QUESTION!
What is the best mobo to support this gear? I hope to do some mild OC work once i've got the critter assembled. As Civ I currently is my main game i do not intend to add a second Graphics card though i may dabble in a flight simulator game.
I spent quite a bit of time reading a host of verrrry interesting posts on the "best FX-6300 OC Mobo" and succeeded in becoming totally befuddled. Any advice that can unfuddle me will be most appreciated.
