Okay, so, this is my first build. So I finally got my parts in and got to work on my pc today, and I've got everything connected, but no BIOS screen shows up on the screen? I just get a black screen but all the fans(cpu, gpu, psu and case) and leds are going.

Nope, I tried it with a HDMI and a DVI connection and the monitor doesn't recognize/detect any input.

Hmm, Ok. Try plugging into onboard video and starting up. That's the onboard HDMI.

Onboard HDMI? Isn't that just the HDMI port on the mobo that would stick out the back of the case? Or did you mean something diffferent?

I am not a smart man, I had no idea what you meant but then it dawned on me until just now- I've had it plugged into the mobo the entire time! So I tried connecting it to the gpu, but still nothing. Does this mean I have a bad mobo? or cpu?

As you have modular psu, check both ends of the cables. I see you have the 4 pin CPU power connected to the motherboard, but check the other end is connected to the PSU.
