I built a new PC which includes CPU, motherboard, and a new ssd. I discovered that I wasnt able to install windows 7 in ACHI mode, so I had to switch to IDE mode. I managed to install windows and the achi drivers included with the motherboard cd. But it still wont let me boot in ACHI mode when i switch it in bios, and i still get this blue screen.

The drive has to be partitioned, formatted and loaded in AHCI mode. If your system won't allow to set any of the SATA slots to IDE/Legacy mode while the main slots are AHCI, then you will need to create a bootable USB drive to get this done.

When i have the setting in bios on ACHI, it allows me to install windows 7 until I get to the very last part where it then says something like configuring devices, or configuring personal settings and then it stalls for a while, eventually giving me an error.
