Hey Guys!

I am building a budget system and wondering how well an FX-8370e will perform with a GTX 750 Ti or if I should just get a better card like an R9 270 or something. What kind of FPS can I expect with BF4 on ultra? I will also be playing games like BF3, MOH, Steam Games, and definitely The Elder Scrolls series (Oblivion and Skyrim 100%)

Thanks in advance!

For DX11 games you're better off with the nvidia GPU when using an AMD CPU. "Upgrading" the configuration to an R9 270 would allow you to run higher visual quality settings, but your FPS minimums in compute bound conditions will be lower, so it's sort of a trade-off.

I've seen GTX660's going for $135 lately, that's probably the best compromise here if you want to run an AM3+ platform and get the best possible results with a GPU in that price range.

-------

As an alternative, consider an 860K + GTX770 or i5-4460 + R9 280. Either configuration is about $360 combined which is comparable to the ballpark of what you are planning on spending on CPU+GPU anyway, but both will give you more bang for your buck IMO.
You can just google for benchmarks for each card

"GTX 750 ti benchmark"
will give you a range of sites , and computer set ups .
In a game like BF4 cpu power will be less important than GPU , once you have enough processor power and the FX 8370e is definitely powerful enough
