how to find hidden files on an SSD?

I copied a lot of files onto my ssd also my boot drive but when I put it in my system to get off they have disappeared and cant be seen on my laptop either.
how can I delete them or be able to view them?

Assuming a Windows system up to and including Windows 7, My Computer>X drive>Tools menu>Folder Options>Viewn tab, tick "Show all hidden files and folders) and untick "Hide protected system files", click Apply and OK your way out. Substitute the SSD's drive letter for the X above.

Windows 8/8.1 is different - the Folder Options are available on the extreme right of the Home menu - where we aren't supposed to find them.
