I plugged my Seagate external hard drive into my spare usb port (Acer Aspire 150 laptop); the laptop assigned a drive letter of F:\. All I-Tunes field transferred to the external HD, and I-Tunes library (on C: drive) set to find all music files on F: drive.

When I now plug in my external HD, it is automatically assigned as drive G: so I-Tunes library on C: drive cannot find any files.

How can I reset or reassign the designated drive for that usb port to be drive F: again?

Solution
Yes you can do. Right click on computer and select manage. Go to storage/disk management. There you can see your ext HDD. Right click it and select "change drive letter" and choose "F" from the list and click ok. A warning message will appear. Click yes (only if nothing is opened from the HDD or no other program is accessing the HDD in some way).

If you can't find "F", probably another device connected to the system is using that letter. For example, if you have connected any other storage device before connecting the Ext HDD, that drive might have taken the letter "F".
