What do solid state drives do

Solution
Basically all they do is reduce load times. So when you go to load Windows it will load up very quickly, and when you go to load up program the same thing, they will load very quickly. Note though, one thing they do not do is increase frames per second. So from a strictly gaming standpoint, they are not really 100% necessary. Since they only increase load times the money is usually better spent on a higher and graphics card. But if you have it in your budget I would recommend a solid state drive as once you had one you'll never want to go back

I would recommend also getting a little bit faster RAM. Maybe some 1866.
