So, like 2 years ago I bought the Razer Tiamat 7.1 Headsets. Great piece of hardware.
But after 2 years of using them I hate them! They still work just as good as they did when I bought them. But I want to slap whomever it was that designed these things. Who the f*** slaps on a plastic head bracer on a headset this heavy, srsly my head has been deformed by the thing. I've had enough of the thing. And now I want to replace them. Put them in a box where i'll never see them again.

The reason why I endured is because frankly there are no headsets that I found that compare with it... Its just awesome for gaming and video editing, fits me perfectly. I do allot of video editing and by tweaking the Tiamat it gave me great sound from an ASUS D2x, good enough for me at least. I need high quality sound but now I also desperately need comfort and the tiamat is the worst when it comes to comfort. (Biast due to headache)

What I'm looking for is a premium sound headset preferably 7.1 analog or if not 7.1, at least 5.1 analog headset. (Meaning No USB!)

I want to take advantage of my sound card. But I want comfort, I don't want to suffer from head injuries every time I sit down on my PC! I will even consider buying 2 headsets.

I've been sooo tempted by the ASTRO a50, just because it looks so damn comfy! Like a pillow on your head! arh, I can just imagine that thing on my head... But I feel compelled to have something that connects to my sound card.

Btw: If anyone at razer ever reads this. MAKE IT MORE COMFORTABLE ITS SHIT AT THE MOMENT!

Sorry for the rage, I would just love to hear if anyone has seen, heard or know of anything that is close to the tiamat but different and more comfortable.

Thanks in advance :)

if you want to take advantage of quality sounds, get a sennheiser pc 360 (for games) or other models for music. Remember a headphone with 7.1 surround is BS! you only have 2 ear hole. A good sound card with this headset will have far more superior audio positioning than any other headsets in the market.

hmm weird, Im pretty sure its a full on USB. I recommend you getting the 360s instead bc it is open ear headphone. You wont feel isolated. and its open ear so your ears can breath and not sweat. if you have a good sound card you can also do virtual 7.1 surround with audio positioning.
