i went to market last week . a shopkeeper told me about a rig : CPU:AMD athlon x2 5600+. RAM: DDR2 2gig. GPU: Nvidia geforce gtx 980 or 9800 4gig (IDK exactly) for worth 150$. i mean is that possible ?? NVIDIA geforce
4gig . and the whole pc worth 150$??
he said that it would run most of new games !!!!???? should i fall for it?? please help im a noob . thanx in advance .

Solution
its a 9800 LOL not 980. And that rig is very old! I ran AMD athlon 5000+ when I was like 13 years old. You can Build a full on gaming system for 600. Save up.

The price sounds too good to be true - but more to the point, the rest of the spec would hold that GPU back.

I think the spec may be wrong - I suspect it's actually a much older GPU and the shopkeeper has mis-read or mis-quoted...?

If the card is a 9800 then $150 would be about right. When buying any used computer, look for a license key sticker, if it does not have a sticker on it then the Windows install is likely pirated.

Now this is a pretty old computer, it wont play any modern game and would only be ok for internet/Microsoft office. The cheapest new intel Pentium desktop for $300 would be much faster then this.

But I have reason to believe he will not be satisfy with this rig. I am 21 and I owned a similar rig when I was 12-13. I always believe the less you spend on a computer, the more you will spend later.
