I have had an XFX 7850 for about a year now and I like it a lot, but it has bad coil whine and I would like more performance.
I am going to get a new GPU for Christmas most likely, but I don't know what to get that will perform the best in the long run.
I have looked at both GTX 970 & Radeon R9 290X's, but I can't decide. I may wait to see what AMD comes out with next February, but I would rather not do so.
Any help is appreciated.
Also, I have friends who say that next Gen games will work better with AMD because of the hardware in consoles. Is that true or not?
