Should i overclock

Hi so i'm getting my first gaming PC for Christmas and i'm wondering if i should overclock my Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0 GHz 8MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1150 to something like 4.3ghz or 4.4ghz btw i don't know how to overclock so yeah....

if your just gaming then dont bother it brings little in the way of extra fp, but will increase your energy usage dramatically(as well as all the other negatives of overclocking like shortening the life of the cpu and motherboard (if its at the cheaper end).
