I have purchased a Hp DL180 G6 server, the server powers on and within few seconds it shuts down showing a flashing red system health led. I have taken out and reinserted everything back to be sure that no part is loose or anything. The BMC light on the motherboard is flashing green. Kindly let me know as to what could be the issue or how do I check the error logs without the server booting up.

Thanks in advance.

If it's installed and you know the IP for the LO100i you can try logging into that with the power supply plugged in, and maybe see if there's an alert in the server health logs. But the LO100i is very slow and a pain to work with.

Another thing is check if it is using the B110i with a Flash-backed write cache, if so, remove the cache. I've seen g6/g7 ProLiants with integrated RAID cards not boot because of a bad cache module.
