AMD FX 8300 good for gaming than the FX 6300??

I recently ordered FX 8300 cause my FX 4100 bottlenecks my 7950 on some CPU intensive games..so im plannin to OC the FX 8300 to 4ghz..is it good and i hope its not worse than the fx 6300

It will perform better than an FX-4100 as it can better spread background applications and tasks around so they don't get in the way of the game's processing. It won't be a monstrous gain as even the FX-8350 can struggle to support higher framerates and high end video card setups.

Most games I've come across show the FX-8350 performing better than the FX-6300 even when they don't use all 8 cores. So if you overclock your FX-8300 to 4GHz it should perform pretty well.

Oh but its still sufficient for most games right..also if i OC my FX 8300 to 4GHZ will it be slightly better than the FX 6300?

Its still the same right?? like u OC THE FX 8300 and FX 6300 to 4GHZ..i dont think there will be much of a difference

Well il plan for 4GHZ boosts..many recommended me this CPU and said OC ing to 4GHZ wil be sufficient for gamin

Oh then thts good..glad i didn rly make a bad choice..some said to buy the 6300 but some other says if i have the budget to go for the 8300 as they dont have much of a performance difference but has more cores
