Zotac GTX 970 Wont Hold Respond To Overclock.

Hello everyone, I have an Zotac GTX 970 and have tried to OC it with firestorm and afterburner, Whenever I set the memory clock or core clock higher the results don't change, it still maxes out at 1215 core clock and 3505 memory clock no matter what im at, do I need to up the voltage to achieve an OC? I have the power set to 106%

Generally yes... But, like the GTX 980, there seem to be some limitations with those cards. This might be something worth reading, the second page gives a bit more details, and tell us if your problem is similar;

Thanks for your quick reply, I've read that article and watched the video, I have a different card. I may RMA it and buy a 980 from gigabyte if this is the problem.

One more question. What should I turn my voltage up to?

Btw, before you send it in, try running firestorm as admin and then try changing the speeds again, without changing the voltage.

As for the voltage, to be safe, go for a maximum increase of around 40mV only.

I'm the only user on my computer, so i have to be using it as an admin right?

True, but not all programs automatically run as admin. Right click on it and run it as admin. That's if you're using windows 7. Not sure if it's the same for other versions of Windows.
