Oky i am confused between 4 cards , don't know what is the best for me !

Gigabyte GeForce GT 640 OC 1GB GDDR5
Gigabyte GeForce GT 640 OC 2GB GDDR3
SAPPHIRE R7 250 1GB GDDR5
SAPPHIRE R7 240 OC 2GB GDDR3

is 1gb GDDR5 IS BETTER than 2gb GDDR3 ?
R7 OR GT, nvidia or AMD ?

and what will work better on my pc , GT640 or R7 250? ADN WILL DDR5 work on my pc ? (my RAM is DDR2)
my pc description:
MotherBoard:Gigabyte 945GCM-S2C
Processor:Core 2Duo E4500 @2.2GHZ . Cache 3M
Ram :kingstone 4Gb DDR2

Thanks in advance for the help :)

Solution
GDDR5 will always be better than GDDR3 since higher memory bandwidth. Now unless you're taking a higher end DDR3 card and comparing it to a lower end GDDR5 card, then it gets a little more complicated but simply keep in mind that GDDR5 cards will most likely always be better.

For the VRAM, 1GB vs 2GB, since you're getting a low medium tier card, higher VRAM won't necessarily help you unless you plan on running multiple monitors. 1GB VRAM is adequete for your needs I believe.

Your VRAM (video ram) is independent from your system RAM which is DDR2. GDDR5 will have no issues whatsoever running on your desktop.

Overall, the R7 250 card is better than all the other cards you have listed. The R7 240 card is roughly the same as the GT 640...

Thanks so so much, you really helped me :)
I have anther question ,hope you can answer it:
my pc with the above description ,with R7 250 1GB DDR5 .can run games of 2015,2016 at lowest quality ? what can you expect ? my favorite games(Call of duty,Assassin's Creed,Need For Speed,BattleField,Fifa)
i saw on youtube, ppl running BF4,AC Black Flag , Ultra High with this R7 250 (and even the old version ddr3)

if this card is not enough , can you suggest another card slightly higher price (may be higher than the R7 250 by 30~40$)enough for what i want ?
I am thinking about GTX660 OC 1GB DDR5 (or may be GTX750) just thinking!
or may i have bottleneck problem(because my processor) ?

And another question just to be sure !
my Slot for the VGA is called PCI-Ex16 . i think it has no limits for the GPU (vga card) right ?
only have limit for the processor

Thanks really alot for your support and your help in advance :D

EDIT: i just found this link about my Mobo
http://www.pc-specs.com/mobo/GigaByte/GigaByte_GA-945GCM-S2L/297/Compatible_GPUs
so i think i was right , it compatible with almost all VGA cards !!,there is no limit for it.thanks god xD

The R7 250 is a little bit slower compared to a HD 7750 graphics card.

What is your budget anyway and if you want the best price for graphics card, you should buy used though that is up to you if you want to buy used graphics cards off eBay. If your comfortable with that I mean.

Since your motherboard has a PCIEx16 slot, at least all modern graphics cards can fit in there assuming your computer case has enough room inside.

While the graphics card can fit in your computer, you will also need to take into account the CPU you have and especially the power supply.

With your CPU, you may start to feel some bottlenecking so I don't recommend going and buying top tier cards. I think the R7 250 is a decent choice or a HD 7750 if that is cheaper. (Make sure to get GDDR5) You will still possibly see some bottlenecking but nothing too major. Also, I recommend to start upgrading your computer as a whole such as possibly saving up for a new desktop.

Also, your PCIe slots are most likely version 1.1 so we do need to be a bit careful in choosing cards, especially the newer ones as there may be some compatibility issues.

So what power supply do you have anyway?

SO GTX660 OR 750.May bottleneck (with core 2 duo processor)? cause alot of my friends recommended that card for me and its price a little more than that of R7 .
or MAY HAVE A Problem casue my PCIE is v.1?
So the Choice is now more between the R7 250, GTX750

Yeah i was&still thinking also in buying used Graphic Cards, but still not sure, cause it has problems sometimes ,(and i have bad luck about these things :'( )

About the power supply ,
My current running Graphic card was from 2008 .it was supposed to need 450 wt and didn't need a cable from the PS
So i was running on these trading PS (the cheap Chinese ones) but i can buy a new one if i needed ,but i don't know IF R7 really need a new PS,but i think GTX 750 needs a new one but it is oky i think it won't cause so much ,i can get it !

I have to say it again ,Really thanks so much :)

Edit: i AM Currently playing most of the recent games on resolution 800x600
But i wanna play on resolution 1366x768
But if 800x600 will prevent any bottle necking (if there will be !) i will play on it

Do you mean GTX 750 or the GTX 750 Ti (better version)

The GTX 660 is better than the GTX 750 TI and the non Ti version

However, the GTX 660 consumes almost 2x the power so then you will have to consider the costs of upgrading the PSU as well.

If the price is just a little different, get the GTX 750

The GTX 660 is better than the GTX 750.

Also, since you are playing at that resolution, you won't even need a powerful graphics card.
Even at 1366x768, A GTX 750 will be very good.

For PCIe 1.1, you can try a PCIe 3.0 card, it won't be 100% compatible but it may work or not, it's mixed results. I recommend buying a card from a place where you can return it if you have issues and won't have to pay stocking fees and hopefully won't have to pay return shipping. All cards you mentioned are PCIe 3.0 cards.

Also, playing games on a higher resolution will show less of a bottleneck since the Graphics card has to do more work and that means less work for the CPU, not the other way around.

Consider looking for a graphics card that uses less than 75W, probably a GTX 750 Ti is the best you can get but there may be some bottlenecking. You should also consider upgrading to a new computer or at least upgrading the CPU to a better one.

If GTX750 Ti doesn't need new PSU, i think i will get it
Yeah i will buy new pc in a year or something , that's whyi shifted my thinking to GTX750 or 750 Ti

and about the Board if it support the card or not

this link says it has no limits for the GPUs, it can run any GPU , and another one said to me the same .it only has limit for the processor (that's why i wil buy new pc)

Yeah, the reason why one website says it has no limits because it is basing the limitations off of the motherboard. Theoretically, you could put any PCIe x16 graphics card in but of course, realistically speaking, the power supply will limit what you can use, the computer case will limit what you can fit in, and sometimes compatibility issues between 1.1 and 3.0 may not have some cards working.
