If I backup the files from "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" , how to use it after clean window(OS) install. Not all

Solution
Just run the Windows Update again, just having those files there won't run them. You can go into each patch file and run them manually if you like.

I also am pretty sure you need more than just the directories there, there are registrly keys that are needed also, did you backup the registry?

There is also this utility which can help you if you install Windows several times but have a download cap with the ISP, you can download them once and save for later use. http://www.thewindowsclub.com/update-windows-office-without-an-internet-connection-with-wsus-offline-update

This means we lose the window updates after re-installing Windows?
Is there a way, I don't have to re-dowonload and save them to install offline for future.
