Running GTX 980 SLI.

Top card is about 5-10 degrees hotter than the bottom one.

Normal or is there any thing i should worry about ?

Thanks.

Edit : I assume this is because the bottom card is getting direct cool air from the bottom fans and the top card is getting warm air from the bottom gpu , am i right ?

Solution
Yup thats normal.

If you have the reference cooled versions, remove the small section on the backplate of the second card to allow more airflow for the first card.

Yes, it's normal.

Think that the top card is getting the air already heated by the backplate of the second card, as you have less thermal diference between the heatsink and the air remperatures the thermal dissipation is worse on the top card.

Usually you will have some degrees hotter and several hundred faster spin speed on the top card.

Yep like others have said:

The bottom card gives off heat when it runs, it has nothing below it so it takes in ambient temperature air. When the heat is given off by the bottom card it rises and is sucked in by the top card. The air the top card is using to cool its self is significantly hotter than ambient, resulting in hotter temperatures of the top card.
