Hello I am working on a Compaq mini 110c that was originally on windows xp, just upgraded to windows 7 home premium 32 bit and on first attempt all ran fine until it decided to update the graphics which made it flash black screen on boot so couldnt do anything but reboot in safe mode and disable which made booting possible but no graphics but the standard graphics that couldnt run any moving graphics.
After a reinstall again all is fine with the graphics and its on mobile intel 945 chipset family (wddm 1.0)
I did also try to upate driver from the compaq website for the model both winows 7 32 bit and then the xp 32 bit and ran in compatibilty mode both with no joy.
So now i just wanna protect the graphics driver so windows doesnt update it.

Can someone help please?

Solution
You should be able to tell it to "hide" the update so it won't automatically be installed. Of course if the next owner unhides it, it will get updated.

I did actually do that after my last post but wasn't sure if it would stop the update next time it scanned for updates.
Thank you and hopefully it will solve the issue
