I have a stock 8350 fan and my temperatures at idle is around 40-46degrees.
Whenever i play a game for approx 5minutes ,my pc gets shutdown due to overheating and i can literally hear the fan humming at high speed.
The temperature for cpu reaches above 80degrees.Never like this has happened before for me with high end games .I played Crysis 3 and many at ultra settings....u can see my config in description or my signature.Now i am unable to play any new games cause then its just shutdown after few minutes.Please help.
I even applied a thermal paste.Should i replace my stock fan or what? I can touch my cabinet and its hot at gaming load only and not while computing at normal basis,which means at 100% load i cannot do sh** .:??:

re seat the heatsink, it seems like it is not seated correctly. also the heatsink ti comes with isnt very good so I would invest in something like a hyper 212 evo

also do you have at least an intake and exhaust fan installed in your case?

You were overclocking the fx-8350 with the stock cooler? I presume so since in your signature it says 4.3GHz. If so, that is a big no no. That seems like the obvious issue. Maybe, finally, the heat got to it. As stated, at a minimum you should have a 212 evo cooling that cpu.

I have read many reviews and also saw some internet based top solutions and really think upgrading to an aftermarket cooler would be good.
If i am wrong correct me.
I have not overclocked it at any instance but it reaches to that frequency on it own,dont know why,as seen in my asus suite 2.
Heatsink is attached correctly nd its quite fit,no movement or whatsoever.
I have low budget so what would be more better alternative to evo?

@eny14type :
Yeah even i know of it,but as of this time i have a limited budget on investing on anything for pc.Thanks for appreciation dude.
But yours config is also good.
I m going with the CoolerMaster 212X and not the older EVO.
