I just installed Windows 7 on my new PC, and it has no internet connection. I suppose I need the driver? My motherboard is a MSI 990FXA-GD80.
Please help!

Solution
Yes you need the driver.

Your motherboard should have came with a drivers.

You will need to install drivers for lan, audio, chipset, and usb 3.0 if you have it

EDIT: This is what I get when trying to troubleshoot:
"Windows did not detect a properly installed netwrok adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver.

I have a secondary laptop and a usb if there's somehow I can install the driver there and put it over?

@boosted1g
Thanks.
I found the CD and installed everything.
But now, after I installed my mobo, my screen goes black when startup.
i can only see the wallpaper and nothing else.
I want to delete my current drivers, cclean it and see if that helps.
But right now I can't even delete them in safe mode.
could you help me with that?

You have a 990fx board so that means you only have dedicated graphics and no integrated graphics, so did you load the driver for your video card?

When you see your desktop wallpaper can you hit control+alt+delete, select to open taskmanger, then go to file, new task and type explorer.exe

I installed mobo drivers before video drivers, so no, I havnt been able to install video card drivers.
And no, i'm not able to hit control+alt+delete. It simply stays black.

Ok, a black screen is not "I can only see my wallpaper".

Since all you get is your black screen then something got messed up loading drivers.

At what point does the screen go black? Never see bios screen, bios screen then black, bios screen then starting windows then black ????

My mistake.
The black screen starts at the point where you type in the password to your user.
And ai can hear the "welcome" sound. But at this point it's nothing I can do but hit the on/off switch on my case to restart

I figured out a way to uninstall the drivers.
So I did, rebooted and there we go, no black screen.
So I tried to install video drivers this time, and it went all good, so I rebooted and I got the black screen again.
It seems like it doesn't matter if I install video or mobo drivers first.
They both make my monitor go black at log-in point.
