I don't know much about custom desktops but I had this one built for me by a friend since I wanted a heavy power gaming custom rig for once. But I'm not sure if something is wrong because it seems like the temperatures are abit high while idle and under gaming? I also just cleaned out the inside of the pc today getting rid of some dust but still the same high temperatures. Thanks if somebody can give me an opinion whether or not something is odd, much appreciated!

verify these temps by checking through other software. even if overclocked that cooler should easily sustain better temps.!try Real Temp if these temps will be verified then you should consider reinstall corsair h100i . here is how. yours is a different cpu socket but still the principles remain the same!

All depends on your cooler really. The CPU is meant to go pretty high, at least that particular model. It will shut itself off if it gets too high. I would suggest investing in a high end cooler for it though if its worrying you.

Can't go much higher then an h100i Xyos.

It is probably not properly installed would be my guess. ASUS motherboards and the h80i and h100i don't get along too well when it comes to fitting it on there.

Install the Corsair Link software and make sure the pump is reading some RPMs, if it isn't it is likely defective.

If the pump is working, while it is running at 90C, apply some pressure to the pump on top of the CPU. If the temperature drops immediately then it has insufficient clamping pressure. The solution is usually to add some non-conductive washers between the motherboard and backplate of the cooler.
