Hello, thanks for reading.
I just built my 3rd PC, mainly gaming-oriented, a couple days ago. From the get-go, I installed only the LAN driver from the Mobo disc so I could get access to the updated drivers for my GPU and Mobo on the manufacturer websites.
What I am wondering is where on my PC (as in, what drive and folder/location) to install the physical drivers. For instance, I downloaded the LAN, USB, SATA, and Chipset drivers as .zip files and right now they're just sitting there waiting to be extracted/installed. When I extract them, where on my HDD or my SDD should I put them? Does it matter?
Additionally, I was a bit confused when actually scrolling through my Mobo's list of available drivers on the Asus site. For instance, the Chipset section doesn't really include anything called a "Driver", but rather:
1.) Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility V10.0.14 for Windows 7/8/8.1 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)
2.) Intel(R) Management Engine Interface V10.0.0.1204 for Windows 7/8/8.1 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)
Do I need those two items? There's a lot of files on there and again, some of them don't actually say "driver", so I'm a little unclear on what I need and where to put them.
Thanks in advance for reading and any help.
