Help me upgrade my ASUS mobo BIOS??

NEVER update BIOS within Windows. Always chance of errors. I recommend flashing from a USB stick using ASUS EZFLASH 2 which I believe your board supports.
Download latest BIOS from here http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/M5A78LM_LX_PLUS/HelpDesk_Download/
For your specific board, I looked at the manual and found this :

Use the link I gave above to download latest, correct BIOS for your board. Also, for the AI SUITE 2 problem, download it from the same link and see if it works then.
