Can I install a CORSAIR CX600 upside down in a Optiplex 790 actual Mini-Tower?

I want to upgrade the PSU, but all Corsair PSUs' have the exhaust fan on the top. Obviously, the design of the DELL OPTIPLEX 790 Mini-Tower does not have an opening on the top of the case.

Therefore, can the PSU be installed upside down with the exhaust fan facing towards the CPU and other components? In the past, I would purchase a EVERCOOL casing fan to eliminate heat from my older PC's. I may need to purchase a unit again, depending on your feedback

Corsair has never had an exhaust fan on the top of their PSUs. It's an intake fan. In fact it has to be an intake fan because the the only way that the heatsinks within the PSU can be properly cooled is to have the fan suck in air and blow it over the heatsinks where the warm air will be exhausted out of the back of the PSU's vent holes by natural air pressure.

Yes you can. Its actually meant to be that way. I'm not sure why Corsair labels it the other way. The ATX spec calls for the fan on the psu suck air from within the case and exhaust it out the back so make sure you fan is an INTAKE, not an exhaust.
