Hello,
I have a custom built gaming rig, that hasn't been upgraded in a while. My specs are as follows: nvidia geforce 570 gtx gpu, i7 @ 960 cpu, evga x58 sli motherboard, 6 gigs of ram , 850 w corsair power supply. I'm a noob when it comes to building pc's so please keep that in mind.I use this pc solely for gaming. My question is should I get a second gtx 570 to sli with my first one. I'm looking to play games like bf4, hardline, far cry 3 and 4, gta v. Although, I have a ps4 I prefer to play said type games (mainly fps's ) on a pc ( because of the good ol' keyboard and mouse :p) I plan on upgrading in a years time to a faster gpu, but for the time being and for the desired games mentioned should I get the second graphics card? in other words will it fulfill my need of ultra graphics ( I don't mind lowering aa and other options here and there) on 1080p display at 60 fps. Also if I do upgrade will my power supply support the sli'ing? I realize that my specs are a little old for ultra gaming, but I would prefer not to dish out $300-400 on a new r9 290x just yet. Thank you for your suggestions :)

Dont spend money for something that is not worth it. Your computer is extremely old. You'll end up spending more for upgrade. I suggest just save up and dish out money to upgrade the whole thing, except for the PSU. Youre psu is still good. :)

unfortunately I won't be able to do a full upgrade of the system, I just don't have the time or money for that atm. But if I were to upgrade to a 970 as was mentioned by rolli59, would I be heavily weighed down by my cpu and motherboard? And just to backtrack a little bit, don't know if you could answer this but based on your guys experiences and assumptions would I be able to run said games ultra graphics at 60 fps (all I need is 60, my monitor is 60hz) at 1080p (i don't plan to game 4k res anytime soon). Thanks again guys.
