I'm planning to overclock an intel pentium G3258 and I'm getting a 970 gigabyte g1 (Later upgrading CPU, also going 2-SLI and I know I won't get all the 970 performance with the G3258 so don't worry about that)

Which one is the best mobo?
Is the Asus worth the extra cost?

They are pretty similar.

The HERO can output virtual 3D to front stereo headphones which probably works great. There's even a demo at the site (about half way down under "Sonic Stage):

I don't think Gigabyte has that.

Anyway, both boards are great though I think I'd get the Asus.
